Aquamarine | Rotten Tomatoes (1) Anna Smith Time Out Unfortunately, the performances are often clunky and the art direction and CG are wanting, so anyone over the age of eight is likely to find it cheap around the edges. One for very little mermaids. Jun 24, 2006 Full Review Aquamarine | Rotten Tomatoes (2) Anna Smith Empire Magazine This fantasy comedy should entertain its pre-teen female market -- and repel those silly superficial boys (swoon). Rated: 3/5 Jun 24, 2006 Full Review Aquamarine | Rotten Tomatoes (3) Stella Papamichael BBC.com For supervising grownups, its giddy leanings will induce seasickness. BJ M A nice uplifting movie - probably more for adolescent girls but I enjoyed it too. Rated 4/5 Stars • Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/17/24 Full Review Renee X This movie was one of my favorites growing up, I was 10 going on 11 years old when it was released. I often see this movie being bashed by reviewers, although the people who hate on it are way over the target age group. Of course it wasn't made to please 30 year olds, so it seems very silly and cringe to anyone born before 1995. But my memories of watching this movie with my sister are so nostalgic; in 2006, every young girl wanted to be a mermaid, or be best friends with one. This movie has a unique personality, and when you're going through that very awkward phase of life where one transitions out of childhood into tween years, feeling like a "fish out of water" is the best way to describe it. This movie makes a literal metaphor out of that uncanny childish feeling, while being fun and heartfelt at the same time. 10/10 Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/24 Full Review paula s SHUT UP. yall dont like this? are yall okay Rated 4.5/5 Stars • Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/03/24 Full Review Holly S nem lembro direito, só da menina cantando akaka Rated 3/5 Stars • Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/26/23 Full Review Yan S The movie is fun and as a girl i like it! However the story can be shortened a bit i feel Rated 4/5 Stars • Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/18/23 Full Review Ball S This film is entirely harmless. It's utterly forgettable.
