In deze postapocalyptische griezelfilm waart een geheimzinnige kracht rond die de mensheid massaal aanzet tot zelfmoord. Alleen wie letterlijk de ogen sluit voor het kwaad kan eraan ontsnappen. Bullock speelt een onwillige moeder die geblinddoekt op zoek gaat naar een veilige haven. Niet de subtielste film van Deense regisseur Bier (Brothers, In a Better World), maar wel een degelijke, bij vlagen erg spannende genrefilm, met een fijne cast en wat aardige symboliek. Probeer niet al te veel kritische vragen te stellen bij de plot, dat helpt.
