Central Sugars Refinery's (CSR) heartwarming initiative has brought joy to Nurhasanah Ramlee, a single mother of three from Banting, Selangor. As her family prepares to move into their new home, generously provided by CSR, this Ramadan holds special significance for them.Nurhasanah, who manages a small kuih business, shared her deep appreciation for CSR's support during the key handover ceremony. The event, attended by CSR's Chief Operating Officer, Hasmanan Zaquier Salleh, and witnessed by Deputy Head of the Kuala Langat District Distribution Operations Division, Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS), Md. Yusmizan Yusof, marked a significant milestone in Nurhasanah's journey.The 980-square-foot home, designed for comfort and security, is equipped with essential utilities and situated in the peaceful town of Banting. CSR ushered in the Lunar New Year with the first Town Hall of 2024.Held at the Better Brown Learning Centre (BBLC) in the second week of February, the quarterly event was kick-started by CSR’s CEO, En. Mohamad Zuki Wan Abdullah’s presentation on the company’s performance and sales to the Shah Alam and Padang Terap staff.As always, the interaction between CSR’s Leadership Team and its Employees was kept open and transparent through a Question & Answer session with En. Mohamad Zuki, Head of HR, En. The record has shown visits to CSR mostly are university students for learning purpose or government agencies for operational purpose. However, the recent visit by Pejabat Pembangunan Infostruktur dan Infrastruktur (PPII) UiTM has indicated the significance of CSR among the community.PPII is the department that holds the upgrading and maintenance works in UiTM Shah Alam campus.Led by PPII Senior Engineer Haji Ahmad Hilmi Haji Rahmat, 25 delegates were excited to experience how sugar is manufactured. Besides that, the delegates were also keen to understand how the giant machines are maneuvered and cost-saving energy activities applied.Since PPII delegates are from various backgrounds such as engineering, quantity surveyors, information technology and accounting hence many questions were thrown away to CSR staff.PPII’s initiative to visit CSR was prompted during the launching of a solar-powered bus stop in UiTM Shah Alam last January where CSR has sponsored the program.#ConsumeSugarResponsibly#CSRPilihanTanpaRagu
