Tues May 28, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, Chelsea tells Summer about getting Sally to replace her, Summer questions Claire about child care, and Jack is annoyed that Tucker is headed for Paris.
Monday’s recap: Victor Chloroformed Jordan and called the police to take her to prison and Ashley agreed to go to Paris just as Tucker flew out.

At Crimson Lights, Summer and Chelsea talk about how hard things are with Connor.
After telling her how much she’s appreciated all her support, Chelsea asks if she can take a leave of absence to have more time with her son.
Summer understands. Chelsea doesn’t want to leave her in the lurch.
There are few people who could seamlessly take over for her.
Summer agrees but starts laughing when she mentions Sally.
Chelsea claims she’s very talented. “Sure,” says Summer.
Chelsea explains she wants to come back to fashion.
This idea is not thrilling Summer. “It’s Sally,” she says.
She’ll have to think this over.
She urges her to get a refill so she can fill her in on some things.
Summer explains the entire Claire and Jordan story to her.
This is all news to Chelsea.
Summer is still baffled that the Newmans have forgiven Claire and welcomed her into the family.
She gets that she was a victim, but she can’t leap to trusting her.
She needs to protect her son.
Chelsea gets that, but if the Newmans trust her…
Once Summer departs, Sharon jogs over to Chelsea to ask about Connor.
Chelsea admits she’s anxious and missing Billy.
Sharon is sure she’s strong and has bottomless love for her son.
Chelsea tells her how much Adam has surprised her with his support and stability.
Sharon knows what he can be like when he cares.
He can rise to the occasion when you need it the most.
At Society, Adam tells Sally that he’s not looking forward to leaving her, no matter how much he’s eager to see his son.
He warns her that an opportunity has appeared.
He asked Chelsea to pitch her replacing her while she’s out of town.
Adam wanted to help her get back to her dream.
Sally is not upset and is amazed he thought about her given what he’s dealing with.
Sally thinks it would be amazing but is not holding her breath.
He thinks her old enemy may have let go of her acrimony.
She remains doubtful and doesn’t want to spend the night talking about career.
He thinks they deserve something special before he leaves.
Adam and Sally go to his penthouse and have a drink. She’ll miss him.
He’s anxious to see his son and she suggests Connor could be improving every day.
He worries that the visit could cause a setback but she tells him not to spin negative scenarios.
She’s sure that Connor misses him and his visit will lift his son’s spirits. He just needs to be calm and devoted.
Adam is impressed she always knows the right thing to say. That’s part of why he loves her.
They kiss.
After they knock mops, he asks her to move in with him.
She’s shocked.
He points out she’s there most nights and has clothes there.
She could move in and decorate while he’s gone.
Fidgeting, Sally says this is a big decision.
He reminds her there is no place like home.
That’s a loaded word for her. Adam wants to give her a place that’s constant where she can recharge.
She thinks this would be a huge step and tells him he doesn’t need to give her a closet to know he can count on her.
He wants her to know she can count on him.
That’s beautiful to her but she needs to think about this and wants him to do the same.
Adam says this would mean a lot to him.
After she falls asleep, he stays up and stares.
He goes to the living room, weeping and looks at photo of his son before praying that God help his son get better.
He also prays for Chelsea to have strength.
They all deserve better than him.

At the jazz club, Jack fills Diane in about Ashley going to Paris with Alan.
She’s more concerned about him and Nikki.
He assures her that he’s doing fine functioning and not inclined to pills or anything else.
He’s optimistic his sister will turn a corner in Paris.
“Ashley’s in Paris?” asks Tucker as he pops up.
Jack is defensive and tells him this is none of his business.
McCall insists he only has the best intentions and points out that she hit on him and he turned her down.
Diane wonders what’s in it for him. He just doesn’t want to make things worse and still cares about her.
Sitting down, he asks what’s happening in Paris.
Jack explains that Alan thinks something happened to Ashley while she was last there.
It was after his conflict with her.
Jack asks if he knows anything about what happened to her after their fight.
McCall didn’t see or talk to her until they were in Genoa City.
He wishes her the best and will avoid her while he’s in Paris.
This infuriates Jack but Tucker insists it’s just for business.
The Abbott doesn’t trust him not to interfere but Tucker claims he has not interest in muddying things for if she wants to get better.
Jack orders him to keep this to himself.
Tucker reminds him that he told him about what was happening with her some time ago and he just went off on him.
He blames Jack for part of this and claims he just wants her to get back to who she was.
Once he walks off, Jack fumes. Diane urges him to just accept what Tucker is saying.
He still worries what seeing Tucker could do to his sister.
When Tucker gets to his suite, Audra video calls him and asks if he’s keeping tabs on her.
He asks why she’s been meeting with personnel at the companies Glissade acquired.
When she walked away from him, she walked away from everything.
She claims she’s not done with Glissade even if she’s done with him.
He thinks she’s wrongheaded about this.
She accuses him of stalking her and he explains employees have contacted him.
He reminds her that he controls the companies and that’s why he canceled her meetings. She has nothing to do with Glissade.
“We’ll see about that,” she says.
Chuckling Claire, Kyle, and Harrison return to the Abbott estate discussing their fun on the Ferris wheel.
Claire thanks Harrison for holding her hand when she got scared.
They talk about ducks and Harrison asks if she can stay for dinner.
She has to take a raincheck.
When the kid goes off to get ready for dinner, she asks Kyle if Summer has really reconsidered her becoming the nanny.
He thinks so. She doesn’t want to get her hopes up but he’s sure his ex is open to it now.
Claire is sure it’s still hard for her to trust her.
She’s sure on paper she doesn’t look like she should be around kids.
He’s not concerned about that. Summer sends a text to say she’s on her way over to talk.
Summer soon arrives, surprised to see that Claire is there.
She’s been thinking about their conversation and has some questions.
Claire is eager to answer. They go through basic questions about first aid and what Claire knows about child care and the importance of limiting screen time.
She knows his history and can relate the feelings of abandonment and confusion that he must have gone through.
She admires how their family has dealt with all of his trauma and kept him caring and resilient.
Summer admires all the research she’s done and is sure that Harrison would love all the activities she has planned.
Claire just wants to serve his needs as best she can and envies him having such loving parents.
She’s have loved to grow up with that.
Summer knows her son likes spending time with Claire so maybe this is the answer.
Maybe seeing she’s okay will let him be himself.
She offers her the position on a trial basis.
Harrison walks in and his dad says it’s all been worked out.
Harrison is thrilled to learn she will be his nanny.
As he hugs her, Jack and Diane arrive to hear the news.
He congratulates and welcomes Claire.
